Caring for your Collectible

Caring for your silver statue is easy, fun and a great way to pass the time on a boring conference call. It’s also a good way to maintain the aesthetic appeal of your acquisition. At our factory, we hand-polished your masterpiece in a style we think you’ll like. However, if it does not meet your personal taste, you can clean, oxidize and polish to achieve the finish you want!

Over time, your statue will tarnish - exposure to heat, light and humidity will cause your statue to naturally darken in color more quickly. This is nothing to worry about as silver is quite forgiving; you can always return your statue to its original tone & beauty with a good cleaning and hand polishing.

Be sure to wear gloves when handling your statue to minimize oxidization and skin irritation.

To clean your statue, remove any dust using a soft-bristled brush - an old toothbrush is a great tool here. Wash in warm water and mild soap, then allow to air dry.

Follow with a specially-formulated, ammonia-free silver cleaning solution, closely following any instructions provided for application. This can be found at most jewelry or arts & crafts supply stores.

After using any chemicals, always rinse your statue thoroughly in warm water to remove any residual cleaning solution.

Dry your statue with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a treated silver buffing cloth to polish your statue and accentuate key features.

Avoid using toothpaste, cola or abrasive solutions such as bicarbonate of soda to clean your statue, as these can cause damage to the finish and often require re-oxidation to return to factory new condition.

Many of our silver statues feature delicate embellishments that can easily bend. In most cases, a gentle application of pressure by hand will return the statue to its original shape without damage. If in the rare case your statue breaks or is disfigured beyond normal repair, let us know!

Every silver statue is engineered as a lasting investment that will provide generations of enjoyment. If you have any questions about silver statue care or need our assistance in any way, please get in touch – we are happy to help.
